The company “Zero Motorcycles” introduced two new electro motorcycles created for the law enforcement and security agencies. In 2012, California-based company released a police-only version of the model Zero DS. In the 2013 they’ve added Zero S to the police-related range of bikes.
Recently Zero have updated their lineup of electric motorcycles for 2013. The new inclusions are Zero DS Dual Sport, Zero S Streetfighter, Zero MX Motocross and Zero XU Urban Crosser. All the bikes got new battery packs and engines.
Motorcycle Zero S is the most “powerful” electric bike in the present time. In urban mode it can travel up to 220 kilometers having only one charging session. Maximum speed is around 155 kmh, which is really weak for a real racing motorcycle. In the same time keeping in mind that we talk about electric bike this speed can be considered a breakthrough.
If urban scooters on electricity is gradually gaining popularity in Europe, and the bike on batteries, too, has the right to life – have decided to brand owners Zero Motorcycles from California. And presented to the audience Zero XU – motard for urban operation, but with the ability to ride on small suburban roads. Get to the heavier tracks probably will not allow the autonomy of the device available. Distance run on a single charge, with the active style of driving, yet is only 40 kilometers.
